My last project for this course will be to build a bicycle. I want to learn simple mechanical technologies to inform how I problem solve in the future and attend to projects. Building a bike will also juxtapose my past projects greatly, and serve as insight to what we consider technology and how I learn it when it is presented in different means, in this case, physically instead of digitally. Fortunately, I have the privilege of using my partner’s garage, bike station, and tools to assist me in this endeavor.
To begin, today I will asses a reasonable timeline for completing this project. This includes what parts to order, what tools I will need, and understanding how long each step will take, such as wiring brakes, for example. Once these aspects are better understood, I can manage my time more effectively and have a completed bike by the end of the semester!
